You may view the full details of the Millwork by O'Hair warranty on our website, but first let us explain a little about what it means to be able to offer this warranty. Carolina Shutter Company is a Homeowner Rated Gold dealer of Millwork by O'Hair premium shutter products. This allows us to display the HR Gold^TM emblem at the left and, more importantly, indicates that our "homeowner rating" has attained a benchmark standard - a strong indication of high quality workmanship. The HR Gold^TM rating is compiled from warranty registration questionnaires on jobs completed in recent months and is displayed in a certificate, which is updated monthly. Carolina Shutter Company is provided with copies of our certificates and those certificates are also visible on the Millwork by O'Hair website. To achieve HR Gold^TM status, Carolina Shutter Company's three primary scores must exceed the scores listed below:

• Minimum 97% - Recommend. Percentage of homeowners who would buy again or recommend this dealer to a friend.
• Minimum 96% - Satisfied. Homeowners are asked as a percentage from 0% to 100% on how satisfied they are with:
  • The professionalism of the dealer's sales people (i.e. courtesy, knowledge)
  • The promptness of the installation (installed when promised?)
  • The professionalism of the installer (courtesy neatness, etc.)
  • The proper fit of the installation (panel layout, rail alignment, accuracy, etc.)
  • The operation of the shutters (panel folding/closing, sliding of louvers, etc.)
  • The quality of the finish (smoothness, color accuracy, proper sheen)
• Minimum 60% - Response. Percentage of homeowners responding to the survey.

At the bottom of the certificate is an indicator of how many homeowners have responded to our Questionnaire, the date range for the responses, and how many shutter panels the responses are related to. Below are the details of the Millwork by O'Hair warranty. As a Gold Homeowner Rated dealer for O'Hair, all customers of Carolina Shutter Company will be covered by this warranty for the lifetime of their home, even if it is sold.

Registration

Homeowners must register to activate the Homeowner's Transferable Limited Warranty™. The O'Hair Shutters™ dealer from whom you received this information participates (via the questionaire) in the Homeowner Rated program and is identified by displaying the Homeowner Rated™ Emblem. Dealers who have achieved a benchmark standard in high quality workmanship are eligible to display the HR Gold™ emblem. Like the Homeowner Rated™ benchmark, the HR Gold™ rating is based on customer submitted warranty registration questionnaires. These certificates are updated on a monthly basis since they are compiled from questionnaires submitted on jobs completed in recent months. These certificates are provided to dealers for display and are also visible at the www.ohair.com website through the dealer finder. The dealer's three primary scores must exceed the scores listed on the sample certificate at the O'Hair website in order to achieve the HR Gold™ status.

Defect Coverage

O'Hair Shutters, Ltd. will arrange for repairs or replacement of components or panels installed by an authorized dealer for defects determined by O'Hair Shutters, Ltd. to be manufacturing defects in the original unfinished interior shutter panels. Repair or replacement of the components or panels will be at no cost to the homeowner. In the event of a product design change, defect replacements may be made using a later design. Defects in customizing, finishing, and installation of these panels are the responsibility of the authorized dealer. Homeowners should refer to any warranties offered by the dealer for defects of these kinds.

Damage Coverage

O'Hair Shutters, Ltd. will supply at no charge, unfinished, uninstalled components to repair shutters with damage determined by O'Hair Shutters, Ltd. to be minor damage (i.e. from pets, children, and other sources). This provision does not cover the cost of finishing or installation of repair components. In the event of a product design change damage replacements may be supplied using a later design.

Limitations

This limited warranty does not cover shutters installed on exterior locations or commercial properties, nor does it cover normal wear typical to residential applications, nor does it cover panels that have been removed, modified, and/or reinstalled by any other than the original customizer or other O'Hair Shutters™ dealer. This limited warranty is in lieu of all other obligations, liabilities or warranties implied or expressed. In no event shall O'Hair Shutters, Ltd. be liable or responsible for incidental or consequential damage, loss, cost or expense, whether direct or indirect, resulting from product defects covered by this warranty.

Transfer

This limited warranty is transferable to each owner of the home where the panels were originally installed for the life of the home or the life of O'Hair Shutters, Ltd., whichever ends first. For warranty transfer, the previous owner must register the new owner at www.ohair.com or call 800-582-2625.

Carolina Shutter's specialty-shaped shutter panels and Pattern Horizontal^TM shutter panels from O'Hair feature an industry first in contour design allowing all louvers (including fractional top louvers) to operate in full rotation (same as rectangular panels). Enjoy the full range of light control and view that this remarkable design delivers; available in conventional center tilt (see image to the right) or the unique Horizon^TM tilt system (see image illustration in the True Contour section).

The O'Hair Shutters^TM Horizon series, available in 3 1/4", 4 1/4", and 5 1/4" louvers, feature a view uninterrupted by a conventional center tilt rod. Instead, at each side, a special contour tilt rod is provided to overlap the vertical stiles (when louvers are closed), providing complete privacy.

The O'Hair Shutters Panorama series is state-of-the-trend in wide louver shutter styling. The ultra-wide 5 1/4" louvers on 5" spacing provide the most open view and boldest look. Very large panels and few of them are key to the design. Panorama excels in large (especially tall) windows.

The O'Hair Shutters^TM Oceanview series with 4 1/4" louvers delivers a strikingly open look. Taller than average windows are preferred venues to compliment the 4" louver spacing. Mid-rails are available, but not recommended (unless required structurally) so as to preserve the unobstructed look.

The O'Hair Shutters^TM Fairway series provides the most flexible design scale with 3 1/4" louvers. Its 3" louver spacing is perfect for wide and wall panels, but not overpowering in smaller panels. Louver clearance at 1 1/8" is workable in wood windows and even French doors with divided lites.

The O'Hair Shutters^TM Plantation series employs the original 2" spacing wide louver design. The scale of the 2 1/4" louvers accommodates small to medium size panels. Two panels across a 3 to 4 feet window width is well proportioned. Mid-rails are acceptable in this design scale if desired for a privacy line.

The O'Hair Shutters^TM Townhouse series is designed for a traditional or "cottage" look. The scale of the narrow louvers is ideal for multiple narrow panels across a single window. Bi-fold hinging of four panels (across) allows for ease of fold-back as opposed to two wider panels.
